Mr. Ooi Say Hooi is one of the Board of Directors, he graduated with BA (Hon) Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wales in 1978. He has acquired a total of more than 27 years of experiencing in banking and finance, of which 7 years have been at a Senior Management level (Chief Executive Officer) at Maybank (PNG) Ltd.
He has also been exposed to extensive training over the years and even as a line trainer in areas of Credit Risk Management, Controls on Loan Documentation, Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Analysis.
With the vast relevant financial knowledge acquired over the years, Mr.Ooi will be able to bring this new finance company success.
Mr. Andy Kenamu is the Chairman of PFL, he is a very successful and well respected Papua New Guinean business man; Mr. Kenamu was born on the 7th June 1966, in Pori, Southern Highlands Province. He is married with 3 children and affiliated to Christian Brethren Church.
Mr. Kenamu graduated from the University of Papua New Guinea in 1996 with a Degree in Bachelor of Arts (Political Science & Public Administration)
He started his career as the Postal and Administrative Officer with the Post office (1987 – 1988), followed by Agriculture Extension Officer with the Oil Palm Industry (1992-1995), then a year as teacher at Koroba High School, 3 years as the District Affairs Officer (Kiap) Tari District and then from 1999 to 2008 worked as Law and Community Affair Coordinator at Hide Gas field with Oil Search Ltd.
In 2009, with his vast experienced, Mr. Kenamu used his business acumen to start a highly successful property management company, Our Real Estate Ltd as the managing director. It is now managing his own and clients’ properties and developing his own land bank.
Mr. Eric Chong is one of the Board of Directors. Born in Malaysia on the 5th of November, 1952, a professional accountant Eric Chong is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and holds a CPA PNG. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (major in Accounting) from the University of Otago, New Zealand and additionally a Diploma in System Analysis, National Council of Computer of United Kingdom.
Mr. Chong has had 32 years of international professional experience in sectors of Petroleum, Fast moving consumer products in a number of countries including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and New Zealand.
His past work experience is as follows:
He also involved in a brewery green field project in China in the mid-90s.His appreciation of diverse cultures and in-depth knowledge of best practices especially in the arrears of IT/ERP and business models is an advantage.
Mr. Anthony Waira comes from Laiyoo village in Pangia in the Southern Highlands province and he's married with four children.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr Waira worked as a Plantation Supervisor at Kapiura Oil Palm plantation at Kimbe in 1990. From 1991 to 1998, he worked as a District Nutritionist in the Tambul Nebilyer area of the Western Highlands province after obtaining a Certificate in Tropical Agriculture at Sepik Agriculture College in 1989. While working at Kapiura Oil Palm plantation, Mr Waira pursued and obtained a Post Certificate Diploma in Tropical Agriculture from the Highlands Agriculture College in 1994. After leaving the plantation in 1998, Mr Waira was admitted to study law at the University of Papua New Guinea where he graduated with a law degree and was commissioned to practice law in 2003.
Mr Waira then worked with NHC as a lawyer for the Highlands Business Unit in 2004. In 2005, Mr Waira became NHC's corporate secretary.In 2006,NHC elevated Mr Waira to the position of Principal Legal Officer till 18th September 2007, when he left to start his own legal firm. He is now operating his own law firm which he incorporated in 2008 under the name "Capollo Lawyers", as the Principal of the firm where it is based at Tokarara in Port Moresby.
